Sea Level Rise, is your neighbourhood at risk?

Sea Level rise could affect large areas of low-lying land over the next 50 years. Increasing global temperatures has led to large scale melting of our ice caps in both the Arctic and Antartica.

We may yet have to re-align our maps and atlases as coastal areas become more and more exposed to the threat of sea levels encroaching onto our coastlines.

Are you at risk? Please follow the following link which is an excellent tool in ascertaining which areas are under threat. You can zoom into your local area and also change the amount of sea level rise.

Take a look at what happens to the Netherlands after a one metre rise - quite shocking.
